What are the rookie card values of the Minnesota Twins top prospects?

When it comes to the sports collectible market, MLB prospects are some of the most exciting sports cards to invest in, as most collectors hope to find a future all-star before the cost of their cards skyrocket.

However, finding that future star is not easy for collectors, as prospects are rarely a sure bet. For every Ken Griffey, Jr., there are many more top prospects who never live up to expectations.

In addition, in today’s age of collecting, having a card graded on a quality scale (sharp edges and corners, clean surface, and centered) of up to 10 is important for the card to hold its value.

This uncertainty around young talent is evident in the latest Baseball America prospect rankings. In these rankings, the Twins have a number of prospects in the Top 100, but not without movement, both up and down.

Let’s look at the Twins’ top prospects who showed the most movement recently and the impact it has had on their rookie cards.

Jenkins, the Twins’ top and most exciting prospect has been getting the same respect in the collecting world.

Jenkins was listed as an honorable mention for 2024 rookies to invest in. However, as exciting as Jenkins is as a prospect, his cards are still new in the collecting world and prices can change quickly.

Jenkins’ Bowman First rookie card, graded PSA nine (mint), saw its value rise 110 percent selling for $58.81 on June 6 but then dropping as the same card sold for $10.52 just two days later, overall a 62.4 percent decrease in value over the last 30 days according to Sports Card Investor.

Even though Jenkins has struggled to stay on the field this year, in his limited action, he has shown tremendous promise at only 19 years old. This is a career both Twins fans and collectors will be watching closely, and maybe you can find some of his cards for a good deal.
