Fanatics to replace Panini as Premier League cards, stickers provider from 2025-26 season

Premier League trading cards and stickers will be supplied by Fanatics Collectibles from June 2025 after an exclusive multi-year deal was struck for the American manufacturer to replace Panini.

The name on any merchandise rolled out under the new agreement will be Topps, which was bought by Fanatics in 2022 and is its main brand.

Panini enjoyed an iconic spell producing sticker albums for England’s top division from the late 1970s until the early 1990s. It returned in 2019 and then signed an extension two years later.

However, Fanatics is set to take over once next season finishes — adding the Premier League to its licensing rights for the Bundesliga, UEFA club competitions, MLS, Formula 1 and MLB.

Topps has a long history of making cards and stickers, among them the Premier League game Match Attax. In 1995 it acquired Merlin Publishing, the firm responsible for creating Premier League stickers throughout the 1990s.

In 2022, Topps agreed to replace Panini as UEFA’s exclusive partner for stickers, trading cards and collectables for this summer’s European Championship in Germany. It will produce them for the 2028 men’s Euros, the 2025 women’s Euros and the Nations League finals until 2028.

Topps was criticised after it emerged a number of England’s players were reportedly not involved in the sticker collection for the Euro 2024 edition.

A Topps spokesperson told The Telegraph: “Topps is proud of its first Euro 2024 sticker collection for the upcoming competition. While we are disappointed that a small number of players are missing, this is due to the tournament’s former sticker partner having blocked certain parts of the collection to the detriment of the fans. Unlike the former sticker partner, we are committed to the fans and believe the offering of stickers and cards — and range of current and former players — will get everyone excited for the tournament.”

Panini had provided stickers, cards and collectables for the Euros since 1977, with the delayed men’s 2020 tournament its final edition.

It will continue to produce cards and stickers for FIFA World Cups until at least 2030, having signed an agreement last December.
