As highlighted by Hardware Unboxed, MSI has silently removed all of its AMD Radeon 7000 series graphics cards from retail stores. While this led some to believe that the two companies were ending their partnership agreement, MSI has now responded that the collaboration has not ended. Instead, it would simply be focusing on Nvidia RTX graphics cards.

Hardware Unboxed reported that the MSI AMD Radeon 7000 series cards are slowly disappearing from retail stores. The company hasn’t even launched any variant of the 7700 XT and 7800 XT, two popular GPUs that have been seeing generous price drops recently (Sapphire Pulse RX 7700 XT curr. $399.99 on Amazon).

MSI has now issued a statement in this regard, confirming that the company has shifted its focus towards the Nvidia RTX graphics card. While the report from Hardware Unboxed suggests a halt in the production of AMD Radeon GPUs, MSI’s statement doesn’t explicitly confirm this.

The statement also does not confirm any termination of the partnership agreement between AMD and MSI on Radeon graphics cards. Instead, as the company said, “The collaboration with AMD is essential and extremely relevant for us. We see a very positive development, particularly in the area of motherboards.”

As of now, the scarcity of MSI AMD Radeon 7000 graphics cards is very noticeable in retail outlets in Europe and Australia, with a few GPUs available in the US market. However, the company didn’t release many options to begin with. As a matter of fact, it had only four RX 7000 series cards in its portfolio, while the company has released 147 Nvidia RTX 40 series cards so far.

This move from the company also suggests that we might not see many MSI Radeon GPUs for the upcoming RDNA 4 series. But, of course, we will need to wait for those graphics cards to be released to get a confirmation in this regard.
