Breeze Easy Visa Signature Card Review 2024 – Forbes Advisor

Breeze Easy™ Visa Signature® Credit Card* vs. Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card*

For people who often fly domestically, the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card* could be a better choice. This card has a comparable annual fee ($99), and while the points multipliers are much lower than on the Breeze Easy card, you’ll earn more in categories you’re likely to spend more money on, including 3 points per dollar on Southwest purchases, 2 points per dollar on local transit and commuting, including rideshare, 2 points per dollar on internet, cable, phone services and select streaming, 2 points per dollar on Rapid Rewards hotel and car rental purchases and 1 point per dollar on all other purchases.

Southwest also flies to more destinations than Breeze Airways, including a few locations in Mexico and the Caribbean. The Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card* doesn’t have an introductory APR offer, but it includes a generous welcome bonus: Earn 50,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening, and you automatically earn 6,000 anniversary points, plus Southwest lets you check two bags for free on each flight.

Breeze Easy™ Visa Signature® Credit Card* vs. Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card

If it’s a big welcome bonus you’re looking for, or you want rewards for international flights, the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card could be a great fit. You’ll earn 60,000 bonus miles and a companion fare ($99 fare plus taxes and fees from $23, terms apply) after spending $3,000 or more in purchases within the first 90 days of account opening, and you can redeem miles for flights to over 1,000 locations worldwide with a free checked bag for you and up to six of your travel companions.

As with most airline cards, you won’t earn the impressive 10-point multiplier you get with the Breeze Easy card, but you will earn unlimited 3 miles per dollar on eligible Alaska Airlines purchases, unlimited 2 miles per dollar on eligible gas, EV charging, cable, streaming services and local transit including ride share purchases and unlimited 1 mile per dollar on all other purchases. Similar to Breeze Easy, you’ll pay an annual fee of $95.

Breeze Easy™ Visa Signature® Credit Card* vs. Chase Freedom Unlimited®

If you prefer a travel rewards card that gives you cash back instead of points, consider the Chase Freedom Unlimited® credit card. You’ll earn 5% cash back on travel purchased through Chase Travel℠, 3% cash back on eligible dining and drugstores and 1.5% on all other purchases, plus an additional 1.5% cash back on the first $20,000 in purchases the first year. Bookings made with Chase Travel on this card include airfare, hotels, car rentals and more. If paired with a premium Chase card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards to dozens of travel partners, which includes JetBlue, United and Southwest.

The Freedom Unlimited card also has a better introductory offer than Breeze Easy, with 0% introductory APR for 15 months from account opening on purchases and balance transfers, then a variable APR of 20.49% – 29.24% applies. An intro transfer fee of either $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater, applies in the first 60 days of account opening. After that, a fee of either $5 or 5% of the amount of each transfer applies. Plus, the card has no annual fee.
